James Baker

MCSP HPCP AACP
Senior Physiotherapist MSK
James qualified from St Georges Hospital London in 2011 having worked as a Sports Massage Therapist and coaching youth football for Wycombe Wanderers FC prior to training as a physio.
James worked full time in the NHS following qualification in London teaching hospitals including the World renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore gaining a wealth of experience alongside internationally respected consultants and physiotherapists in MSK Services, Hydrotherapy, Chronic Pain and Orthopaedic Surgery.  Alongside this James has worked in private practice both at Stanmore and more locally, treating a wide range of conditions and helping patients to recover and thrive.
He joined Amersham Physios in 2021 and has grown the service building strong relationships with local GP's and Consultants, advocating for our patients to help them achieve the best possible recovery. Alongside this James has also been providing support to Chesham Ladies Football Team.
James combines his extensive experience in Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Healthcare and his passion for sport with an empathetic and  holistic approach to patient care.  He has an interest in Acupucture for Pain relief and Sports Injuries and combines great manual therapy skills with  strong clinical reasoning and a calm and compassionate approach
In his spare time James can be found playing football for his local team, going to the gym, hiking, skiing and snowboarding.
All our Physios are Chartered and State Registered each with over 10+ years of experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation both in the NHS and Private sector.
